The Ukraine is since some years a focus for WB-Production's activities. With the great co-operation of companies in Kiev and the interest of the media in what we do, we were able to perform an intense week including a press conference. Followed the day later by a talk of CEO Alex Barendregt at the elite technology campus "Unit.City" and then first Ukrainian Bodypainting Awards fully produced by WB Production.
It started with the idea of producing the "Ukrainian Bodypainting Awards" the year earlier. After we got in contact with the Kiev Based Cosmetic company "KODI Professional" they decided to come with a big group of make-up artists to the World Bodypainting Festival and they got awarded in various categories. The press conference was about the success of the Ukrainian artists. TV channels, journalists from daily newspapers, lifestyle and make-up magazines came along to see the creations and hear all about the unique festival established in 1998 in Austria. Among all the media, HDfashion.tv produced and broadcasted over the entire summer a variety of different videoclips on their channels.
The day later, CEO of WB Production Alex Barendregt was invited to have a keynote talk on the topic "Art + Ads" at the elite campus for technology in Kiev, called UNIT.city. Beside displaying the history of the World of Bodypainting created by Alex, he put a big focus on his most oustanding projects and talked about the possibilities and creative approaches on how to use bodypainting as a modern way of communication for businesses.
The highlight of the week was the Ukrainian Bodypainting Award at the artistic location ART Platform. 15 participants from 6 nationalities came to a classic bodypainting competition and once again the crowd of media was high reporting from the event, following artists and interviewing partners and sponsors.
We are looking forward to many more upcoming projects and we are gearing up for something big in 2019.
